Reminded me of the Portuguese player that’s just gone to Leicester for a third of what they wanted off of us

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
I thought Lampard flourished with him in the side doing all the donkey work.

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
He was awful for the first few months but then settled in and became a really decent player for us.

How we could do with a Marc-Viv Foe in our team at the moment

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
The last thing he did in a West Ham shirt IIRC was to boot a Dirty Leeds player smack in the head.

I thought he was the nuts.

RIP MVF.

Giodwinson

Ruddock scored as well that night. I forgot he played for us then.

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
Never rated him that highly to be honest, wasn't great with the ball at his feet, never a good thing for a footballer.

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
Possibly the last time West Ham sold a player at the prefect time for maximum return.

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
Did he get hold or push a ref slightly when he played for us.

The board was stupid not to sign him!

Inter Toto cup winner. Yep the Metz game. Luckily I was working in Paris that summer so easy to go. Was like a thurs.

Happy days as a Hammer.

He was a good player but has definitely got better since he passed away, God rest his soul.

True, Zico. Foe absolutely bossed the midfield that day.

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
Was vey sad and thought he was a very good player. Always irritates me when they show the Di Canio goal that they generally start with Sinclair's cross and miss out Foe's superb cross field pass.

Been a while. I had forgotten how brutally honest and to the point you are. :-)

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
One of those players who seemed to enjoy playing and seemed to give his all.

The sort of player that gets a warm welcome on return because they didn't just play, they played for the badge and for us.

As has been said, I was at an age where I had little experience of mortality other than with old people in my family so this shook me up.

Re: Marc-Vivien Foe
I seem to recall him being COATED by a lot of West Ham fans especially during the early time with us.

Let's not gloss over that.
